Tale Of Trouble (first crush)

Till yesterday he was all gay..
As if on a bed of roses he lay.
He didn’t have a lot..
But was all plum with what he had got.

While the stars above played hide and seek.
The old winter breeze beckoned him to rise
From his sleep.

A filthy old rag to ward off cold..
Was all he had more precious than silver or gold.
When a soft voice from trembling lips
Woke him amidst his only hour of bliss.

As if dream witnessed with senses awake.
Stood by him was an angel face...
Lips joined in a perfect two….
Eyes like an ocean so blue…
Hair flowing in a stream so true…
All words of praise seemed so few.



Suddenly his life started changing.
He began to dream with a heart full of longing.
Still there was bread that he didn’t want to eat…
With the dreams of that angel his mind so replete…

Still there was soft grass for him to sleep..
But Alas ! never so discontent was he ever seen.

Now there was no joy but pain…..
For he tried to reach her in vain…

Hills Of Sand

Hills Of Sand , those little hands pile.
Sea Shells they pick for crowning in style.
They divide into rooms the whole compound
Twigs for Lamp-Posts, Glass bottles for doors.

Bags and rings and ropes and more……..
Everything finds itself amidst all lure .

Nothing of which like ever was waist…
Such beauty lay strewn all over the place.
And then as sun began to take a dip..
All his dreams gave him a slip.

Suddenly as the shores went red…
All birds of hope flew …ahead
The beasts in water as if shaken from rest..unfed..
New grounds they began to tread..

Eyes heaping encomiums and soul thoroughly embroiled
Something for which he had his hands and heart soiled……
Gone with the tides was all his toil…….

Disappointed

When expectations are high
And feelings fall short
When a friend means everything
And the last thing formed is a strong tie
I am disappointed

When I expect the basics
And the other expects the world
When I even give the world
And I never get the basics
I am disappointed

When the other wants complete understanding
And my wanting so is considered wrong
When my actions are ridiculed
And I am taken for granted
I am disappointed

When I know I can retaliate
And act as vague as possible
When I know I am capable enough to be independent
And I choose to be dependent on my friend
Now I am disappointed

Life is too short and hopes too high
But emotional bottlenecks prohibit me to fly
With no fault of mine,I suffer and pray
Make me more miserable with each passing day
And today, I am disappointed

On My Birthday-16th September

Today on my birthday
I feel so blessed
To have parents so fine
and wishes that are divine

Dunno why everything seems so special
When friends just pop up a surprise
With cake and dance and wine
Organized by my best friend in style
My dearest friend-You are my lifeline

Brought to this earth 26 years back
I thank the all mighty
For giving a me a life so exhilirating
The enthusiasm in me
And to top it my modesty

Parents are ur forms on earth o' lord
and rightly so when it comes to me
Never a hitch in fulfilling a wish
What I want and when I want
They always know it and I dunno how?

The home theatre they got me was such a surprise
The car-the best one on one of my birthdays brought out my heart
More than that and above it all
Is the love and affection filling my shopping cart

How can I forget my sister on this day
Who is more than an inspiration
Seeing her I have grown up and it is needless to say
That my personality today is attributed to her

The little one who is the apple of the eye
That is my niece who is still so small
Her naughtiness and playful behavior
Makes us all have a ball

Finally to end my story
I pray to God
That all these special people in my life
My parents,sister and best friend
Have a great life ahead
All my joys become theirs
and all their sorrows are mine.

Friendship Dilemna

You are a friend,philosopher and guide
But sometimes I feel you take me for a ride
Sometimes I am too demanding emotionally
Sometimes you are too giving that I do not even realize

You are often in your own world
Seem busy but actually free
But then why this view I always hold
You need ur space and ur privacy

But then why am I always so available
Why is it that when you want me I am always free
Am I too crazy or senti mental
or at times I just like to be

Why do I feel guilty sometimes
When I think, I think only of me
When I know before doing so,others mattered more to me
Am I too giving and that does not work
Or is it just my destiny

Expectations vary from person to person
I do the maximum I can
But demands never cease
Shoot me with a gun,in this life, I am not at ease
