60 Years of Indian Independence-A Poem

I salute to the great freedom fighters and leaders
Who have made our present possible
Where there is no foreign tyranny
Where there is complete freedom

India today is an example
For the many who want to succeed
Whether it is technology or culture or economy
For that matter may it be any expertise

Who else in the world is more warm
Whose emotions elsewhere are so strong
Where else would you find such diversity
I say India is my destiny

India is still so young
There is so much more scope
The youth of today is more active
I just always raise my hope

I am proud of Kalpana Chawla
I am proud of Sunita Williams
I am proud of Sania Mirza
And proud of all who make our country proud

Celebrating 60 years of Independence
Brings a thought to my mind
Let the world realize our potential
Else they will ponder after few years
It is actually we, who rule the world
